I read in another thread that textures are not reflected, is this what I’m seeing here?
I have a load of trees all around the model placed using Skatter to act as a visual barrier between my model and the infinite nothingness beyond, the leaves on the trees are png’s
If this is the case is there a way to even exclude the trees from being reflected?
That’s correct. The mask texture will not be evaluated in reflections of off-screen objects. However I’d suggest to use Foliage materials for the leaves (it’s a material type you can select in the Enscape material editor). This will avoid those blocky reflections by using a procedural leaf texture.
Umm, I’ve got the foliage tag in the material name and its subsequently correctly set in Enscape’s material dialog.
Do I need to go to models of trees with individual leaves as opposed to my current ones that are several branches per image? … I hope not
Here’s one of my trees

Thanks we’ll have a look at this!
@Paul_Russam this will be fixed in the upcoming v2.3 release. Meaning that vegetation materials with mask textures will be rendered with a procedural leaf pattern in reflections, as it currently does in Revit.
