I was just thinking the other day about when I started using V-Ray, (the first alpha’s lol) from the first time I hit the render button and started drooling at the awesome results and have loved it ever since. But more importantly its their way above world class level of service that has kept me a loyal and proud customer. Ive run in to issues in the past where Ive had an impending deadline and even on a weekend had a patch released to me within a couple hours which was and still is unheard of with most developers out there unless you are a huge client, and with that I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to Vlado, Peter and the rest of the Chaos team for their past and continued support.

weird to think that the free version I played around with while still in high school has ended up shaping my entire career. the days of making abstract ‘art’ (lol) on deviant art on the family pc.
I agree with the above. Fantastic support from Vlado and the Chaos team. Having been a former Mental Ray user a few years ago, I regret not making the switch to Vray earlier.
so much yes! must be over 10 years ago when i went from scanline to vray free, i still remember the first time i pressed render and was just “wow?! did i do this? look at the light! look at the colors!”, the same day we had vray licenses for everybody
since then chaoscrew has been rock solid and just getting better and better, in fact, i think chaos and this forum has a lot to do with me still being in this line of work.
yup. i remember starting in the alpha days with a lot of you guys. was testing ghost (brazil) back then too plus raymax, arnold and a few others that never made it to market. I like an idiot did the pre-purchase of final render before i started on the alpha of vray and when i got final render i was so disappointed in my purchase. kept with vray ever since. would love to do the upgrade and see if i can jump back on the beta tester group
I remember working with the “fakiosity” rings for exteriors and hating when I would do interior renderings because I would spend hours faking light bounces and it never looked right. Then all that work went away when I started with Vray. Glad I chose Vray when I did not Brazil or Final Render
+100 from me too.. Specially to Vlado for helping me soo many times. Also the fact that he saved my ass on weekend tight deadline job with messed up proxy file and all was just priceless. We all say Chaos team is the “Best” but I think they’re just the special kind of people that are just awesome.
Not to forget part of this forum is you all too. I just need to spend a few minutes search in here, and someone has already asked and gotten many good replies to any of my issues with vray.
