Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

hi,

have you all this entry? or not?

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

I’m not really sure what you’re looking for. Maybe a few examples or some more details would be helpful.

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

as far as I know it should be a McNeel thing, and part of the RDK.Because it was first made available with their rendering package Accurender that runs with Autocad. Those are post process plugins, that would allow you once the rendering is finish to add glow, glare depth of field etc.
It probably was included in the older RDK,and since VRAY is using an old RDK…

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

I’m not sure if that’s part of the RDK or part of Accurenders SDK. I know these effects are available to Flamingo 2.0, but not sure about them being available to all render engines? Would be neat if they are. Perhaps a better question for someone at McNeel.

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

Damien, here’s the link to what he’s talking about.

We talked about post process effects before. I still think that this is something that is being produced by Accurenders toolkit and not the RDK, but I could be wrong about that. Keep in mind that Accurender is not made by McNeel, so items in its SDK (the platform Flamingo is built upon) may vary from items found in McNeel’s RDK.

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

Already “asked” HERE with no response…

These are RDK post effects, available through RDK FrameBuffer (so theorically all RDK render engines support them), it would be very nice if we can choose between VFB and RDK FB!

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

It is not made by McNeel but distributed by them ans some people at McNeel work on Accurender, Flamingo is nothing more than Accurender ported to Rhino.

In fact they are developing Accurender NXT right now,and it will also be ported to Rhino

Here’s a post from Roy Hirshkowitz,Accurender creator.

… At the moment I’ve got everything in pieces in preparation for simultaneous development on the Rhino platform…

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

accurender,flamingo,Brazil,McNeal…but not Vray!
It’s a great pity! because it would be nice features.
sometimes i wish i could add some fog to my scene, or Render a wireframe
( i know, there is a complete thread about wireframe rendering  )
well… thanks @ all

Kind regards,
Dominic

by the way,
i know my english is not so well. but i try to give my best!
(and many thanks to dict.leo ;D)

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

Nice. Well, you know the asgvis motto though. If they can’t carry it to all of their platforms it probably wont make it. So it’s looking like all of the mcneel involved engines are getting this treatment. Do you think we’ll see Fry or Maxwell using these any time soon?

It is sad because in doing this Asgvis is limiting Vray to the weakest part of each software they support.

Re: unknown Settings - “post effect plugins”

No i don’t think so, Maxwell and Fry have an external FrameBuffer with their respective (physical) post effects…

Exactly my point! :frowning:
