Updated site

My work never gets shown here, as am not “geeky” enough heh heh and too lazy to setup a system to get this done, the latter is probably most likely to be the truth. So… as we have recently updated our website and showreel, I thought I would share them with you.

The render engine used for the projects are a mixed bag of mental ray, vray and in some cases scanline(the really old stuff that the boss insisted on keeping in the reel).

Have a peek at.. www.edb.co.uk

Colin,

The work is great! I like the site navigation as well…though i don;t like the colour scheme. keep up the good work!!!

Thanks dellis

Yeah the site navigation is ok but the visual representation I am not happy with but…

Thanks

Colin

There are some really nice animations on that reel. I think there is a large difference in quality between some of the work though. You should take out the stuff that doesn’t cut the mustard. Its better being shorter and all really good, than long but 70% really good.

Also I think you should offer your reel in quicktime or wmv, Don’t like being forced to view it in an applet.

Hey andyp7

Yeah you are right, however “Sauron the great” (the boss) wanted those old clips in there so we are stuck with them…for now :frowning:

There is a flash version that runs in the browser in the projects/animation section.

Colin

nice work!

I like the site - and the animation section is v impressive - some nice editing there. My only crit is the absence of larger previews of the images > it may be worth including this.

Cheers deflix

Glad you like it. Regarding the previews do you mean the thumbnails or the bigger images?

Regards

Colin

the larger images - The frame seems a little small to me - although I run at 1920 *1200!

I could easily see you running as animation specialists!

(you did some of the Kings Cross work for Rolfe Judd?)

Hey deflix

I believe the images where done that way in order to pique interest and enable us to then go in and show them the larger versions, teasers basically.

You are correct we did the Kings Cross stuff for Rolfe Judd about 7 years ago.

You are obviously in the same industry as we are, you based in London or somewhere normal like the rest of the country
