V-Ray installation & license issue

Hi,

I have decided today to finally give a try to V-Ray and… unfortunately it was not a good experience.

I’m using window 11 on a Firebat MN-56 desktop mini computer (AMD CPU/GPU) and Blender 5.1.

On installation (using “vray_73020_blender510_dr2_x64” installer and pick “advanced” to setup install directories), I’ve got this:

next step lead to this:

“Cloud licensing” lead to local server. It’s weird.

using the licence settings entry from start menu give me this:

vray-cloud-license-A
vray-cloud-license-A375×421 7.67 KB

And add-ons doesn’t appears in blender’s list:

blender-prefs
blender-prefs880×681 48.9 KB

Have I done something wrong or is this an issue with installer ?

I’ve opened a ticket (#502351) on your behalf so that the Technical Support can assist you further.

Are you sure you’ve selected the correct Directory in the installer (for the specific Blender version that is)? By default, we install in Users/AppData/Roaming/Blender Foundation/ etc.

Also, in the docs, it’s written that firewall permissions must be added for the install to work properly. Have you checked that?
