In the current version (2.5), whenever a decal has a cutout image added to it, the decal completely disappears from Enscape. See the attached test images. Both the decal image and cutout image are jpgs in the RGB colorspace.
thanks for your detailed report! We’re sorry, that must have slipped through our testing. I can confirm your reported behavior. We’ll definitely fix that issue as soon as possible (probably in an upcoming hotfix).
I’m running the new preview version but still not seeing the decals that have a cutoutmap assigned to them. Would it help if I send over example files?
I’m not seeing any of the 3 decals on the wall. The interesting thing is: when I remove the cutout map of just one of the 3 decals, I do see all of them.
Thanks for the repro case. There was indeed a glitch in the fix that resulted in your described behavior. If there was no decal material without cut-outs none were visible. This will be fixed for official the hotfix release of course. Thanks for testing the Preview version!
All decals with cutouts shift the cutout so it does not align with the material image - has been like this for the past 6 months or so. We install all the latest versions of enscape as they come out. No fixes yet.
