I updated Enscape from 4.10.0.464 and now the assets are no longer loading into an existing file. The same assets I used before (e.g. Sofa 009, Sofa 002) cannot be placed in a new file either. I tried downloading all assets and deleting the offline assets, as well as deleting the assets in the %temp%\Enscape folder. I sent a support request using the button, but nothing worked as described. The network connection is working and no pages are blocked. When I place the specific asset inside Enscape the preview for placement is shown and when I hit apply nothing shows up in Enscape but in Rhino!? Other assets are also working fine. Maybe someone has another idea. Otherwise, I’ll have to roll back…
I’m speechless. I urge the Enscape development team and those responsible to reconsider Enscape.
Reading the forum is scary. I found this Revit API Alert on the forum, and it’s been a long time since 2021.
Then there are licensing issues, and then asset issues that disappear. I have problems because I can create custom assets and save them to the cloud, but I can’t edit them anymore. Sometimes it even doesn’t read the licenses.
On behalf of everyone, I truly ask the developers to give us STABLE software. Software can be great, but without stability, we don’t know what to do with it.
I’m a subscriber like all of you, and we pay regularly. I prefer regular licenses for support. But for years now, there’s always some new problem. Do we, who pay, have more problems than those who use illegal software? It doesn’t seem fair to me.
Hi @Twuen and @joo_mouro , I’ve just posted a dedicated troubleshooting guide you can check out here. You already mentioned trying some of the proposed steps, but if you haven’t already, please make sure to follow all of them (incl. reinstalling Cosmos to its latest version).

We appreciate the guidance. But forgive me, Demian, but we users can’t do a thousand things for every bug. There’s a lot of talk about improving workflow, but here it always goes crazy.
However, years ago, Enscape support told me it was better to create the assets myself. I’ve seen the models on the website. Some are good, but 50% are a bit ugly. I’d like to give an example: what’s the point of a table if we can’t change its dimensions, obviously? Sofas, tables, and coffee tables are very important elements in the space of a room; we don’t always design mega-mansions.
I’m curious, because I haven’t upgraded to 4.11 yet. Can the materials of these models be changed? Otherwise, I find all these models useless. Furnishing accessories, paintings, rugs, and small objects can be useful. But it’s better to parametrize furniture with Revit and easily modify its dimensions from the keyboard.
for me the solution I found even after your guidance @Demian_Gutberlet was to open the file, launch Enscape, with errors on the first try, but it works on the second try, until now every second time is working…
Same issue here. My custom assets work. All Enscape assets are not visible in the Enscape window, but wireframe proxies are visible in Vectorworks. This happened 20 minutes before a presentation!!! Demian, with all due respect, your reponses are inadequate. Chaos cannot allow this kind of thing to happen without immediate redress. This is business.
Guys, save the file in a different folder and launch Enscape. If the issue persists, try enabling some options in the General Settings, then use “Save As” to save the file in another folder and start Enscape. That usually resolves it. It’s important to save as your file in a new folder. Why ?? I dont know…
I’m done. Have bought Enscape last winter because I love the integration into Sketchup. Have had three issues when I could not work for a week and now this one. All my projects have unrecognized assets. Simply uninstall, remove folders, re-install is the go to answer to their doings. Those actions cost me a days work (re-install Sketchup with all my settings…). I won’t talk to support anymore, I am leaving. Unfortunate that it had to come to this.
Before leaving, I will go back to version 4.9 and stay there until my license runs out. Then it is off to Twinmotion or D5 for me.
