I would like to see some organic stuff, like stone. It’s an awesome library’ well worth the money[quote=“grantwarwick, username:grantwarwick”]
I just bought the V-Ray Material Presets Pro and it is really great - especially when you don’t already have a decent Vray material library of your own. :sunglasses:

Regimantas, any chance that you will soon get around to redoing the Gemstone, Mosaic, Parquet and Carpaint for the Microfacet GTR model?

Soon, very soon

It too is planned.

good news![quote=“timmwagener, post:9, topic:48525, username:timmwagener”]

Fantastic, looking forward to it! :

The user base material lib is the most important for me, it need to be easy, network based, and highly configurable to suit any type of material.
If there was a option to change between different scene setups for the user based material lib, I would definitely make the jump to get it.

So some categories are using the microfavet gtr method, some aren’t, is that correct?

Which ones are?

Hi,
materials from tab ‘V-Ray 3.1+’ uses GGX shading model and compatible only with V-Ray 3.10 and up. For older V-Ray versions - tab ‘Legacy’ materials.

what I mean is, I haven’t purchased it yet (so I can’t actually see which materials, otherwise I’d check myself) and I’m wondering whether most of the materials are using the GGX method?

Like, are there versions of the old materials which have been updated to use ggx?

Yes, all materials will are remade. It already becomes step by step..

Can some user please shed some light on how the USER BASED MATERIAL LIBRARY works?
Is it good for network environment?
We ahve loads of materials we would like to organize somewhere.
We have scripted a plugin to do this for us but unfortunatelly its still far from being finished..

Awesome. So how is the work with that progressing? :sunglasses:

Finished materials: Leather, Wood.
Partially finished: Parquet, Metal, Fabric…

Thanks, I’m not the biggest Facebook fan, but I’ll check it out.

Hey mate, looks good on Facebook.

If I can ask (or give a advice), loads of companies working in Archviz are using simple UV mapping (box/plane/etc) set to “real world” (or any auto generated UV mapping like the sweep etc).
Usually, they also work in meters as it’s the best metric unit to handle jobs that are from a single room to a shopping center.
Would it be possible to have your materials that are ready for a “real world” mapping? Every time we use your mats, we need to convert the 1x1 tile to real world (who turns to be really small) in all the maps and set them to 1/5/10 meters.

Would be great if you had a checkbox in your settings asking what’s the default unit scale of our files and have you materials adjusting accordingly so they are ready for real world mapping.

Make sense?
Stan

+1
I also mostly work with RealWorld

Hi,
It is already implemented.

Will users get an email when it is ready?[quote=“Siger, username:Siger”]

To be sure!

1) Will we get all 360 materials listed here, metal, leather, wood, fabric, parquet as one package in the Presets Pro? Or will each section have to be purchased seperately? (Will more be added before the actual release?)

2) This description in the top right of this image, could you explain this formula and ratio’s in pictures instead of words, so we can be clear what you mean by the sizes etc?
