vray next 2017 trial - hard crash on cpu, error during gpu initialization on stage 1 on gpu

Max 2017 sp2 gives me a crash on either engine, kills max on cpu! I’ve thrown out all the installed plugins and updated to the latest nvidia drivers just in case. Any thoughts? I’ve attached a minidump which is rather scarily 666k when zipped :o

ideally I want to test GPU and forest over the next 3 weeks while I have a gap to see can I do some simple vfx shots on a single machine!

Hello I know this is an old post but I’m running into the same thing, did you ever find a solution for this?

I did not unfortunately, I’m back to 3.6 in work for now!
