I’m using the nightly build from 26th april for OSX. and Maya is version 2013. Since then i cannot get maya to save the images i render from VFB, i have to send each layer to maya’s frambuffer and then save it out. I’m close to a deadline and need this to be resolved asap.
Another thing to note is that the hypershade has slowed down considerably, i keep getting error messages that it can’t generate thumb preview for textures, which wasn’t a problem before, only know it takes several minutes between each action that is related to shaders or textures because is going thrugh all the textures.
I would suggest going back to a previous build. The latest ones for Mac OS have issues which we haven’t fixed yet. We are working on it but I don’t know how long it will take.
any build or date you can recommend…? or how far back i have to go?
EDIT: Ok i found one. The one for 2013-02-07 is working fine and saving…
Another note on the latest build, it seems to have troubles with displacement mapping as well. I couldn’t get any variation of exr files to read properbly. jyst FYI
The one that you had before? There are builds from February 7th should work fine, I think, but I will check a bit later just to be sure. (Also, this should be a problem with OpenEXR files only.)
