Clean install of Max 2016 and vray 3.30.03…
‘V-Ray scene converter’ does not seem to be converting ‘Arch & Design’ materials. Is this a confirmed bug?
Thanks,
Ryan

I find this one to be excellent…
My bad - after a little looking into it, latest sketchup imports are arch & design… seems like it use to import just as standard mats. Or did my client change the way they are saving mats in sketchup? I’ll have to look into it further…
Thanks - I’ll check out motivacg…
Here is another one
AMC
A friend of mine has been very deep into MentalRay for years and recently (finally) got on board with VRay. He was excited to see that VRay will render Arch & Design materials, since he has a huge library of them, but how well are they supported? Is it like Max Standard materials, where they will work, but are slower and can cause artifacts in larger scenes, or is it more thorough than that?
Looks like when I did the fresh install, I accidentally choose DesignVIZ.mentalray for the UI layout… that changes a lot of the defaults to Arch+Design mats. Probably the sketchup import mats too. Switched to Max UI and all seems back to standard mats.
Thanks,
Ryan
