It will be useful if there is more control for the clouds:
Affect shadows ON/OFF
Affect Specular ON/OFF
Currently animated clouds, could change the entire scene lighting for a single frame - not very predictable.

Hi, this might be possible for the shadows, and a lot more trickier for the speculars. Are you ok, if we change the task to only shadows?

It will be useful. However, if you have reflective surfaces in the scene they will still flicker.
