I’m having some serious computer issues and have decided to completely wipe my system clean, and start fresh with reloading the OS and all programs. Am I understanding correctly that in order to reinstall and use VRAY when I get my system’s OS reloaded, that I need to first uninstall VRAY via Add/Remove programs before I take down the sytem to “free” the VRAY liscence for the future reinstall? Otherwise the liscence will not work? Is this correct?
A reinstall of the OS should also wipe any installed programs that you have, so understand that there’s no uninstall needed as the programs just aren’t there any more. Be aware that that will be for EVERY program so check with all other software manufacturers about any licensing stuff that pertains to that program.
As for us, make sure that you have your serial number and that it isn’t deleted when you wipe your system (just the email with the number, nothing else). After you go through the install process and try to activate you will most likely get an error message that says “This serial number has been used a maximum number of times”. To resolve that message you will need to email support@asgvis.com and request an additional activation. Once they do that for you, you should be able to activate.
I did a clean install of windows a while back and experienced the exact issue Dalomar described in his post. Support responded timely and reactivated my license. They were great about it and I had no problems.
I’m sure by now you’ve experienced their excellent support.
