When rendering something using VFB, sometimes… going back from Max to another app and coming back and happens that Max seems frozen, but it is not… its just that I can’t click anything.
The Task manager shows Max active, but i’m unable to click anything in the UI.
This didn’t happen in Vray5, happens in Vray6 since the BETA. although I’m using the release version now and is the same.
I thought it might be other plugins but it only happens when VFB is open so… he is the biggest suspect.
Possibly some QT block command or don’t know… it is almost like if there was a popup Alert waiting for an answer but there is not any.
btw not sure is relevant but, I’m using two dual 4k monitor 150% scale.
It is hard to reproduce… couldn’t make it, but it happens every now an then and the only option is to force Max to shut down and re-open.
It would be helpful if you can produce a crash dump file, either from the Task Manager or Process Explorer - it will help to figure out where the program is stuck.
Today it happened again but VFB was not on… only the Material editor. It actually happened 2 times so here are the dumps… there is the possibility that is not Vray fault too… I’m unable to reproduce in a stable way sorry.
Even I have the same issue, when using IPR the system freezes or Lags a lot, as well when trying to move or change the V-ray Sun position its just intense freezing.
Hope to see a quick small update on this issue.
Not sure if its similar issue or not, but I am noticing Vray6 causes my pc to run extremely slow when rendering compared to vray5. At times the frame buffer will be semi frozen, then about 20 sec or so later updates to part of render done, almost like it kills my computers performance to render now or something. Extremely annoying.
