Hello,
I’ve a problem with the VRayEnvironmentFog, there is some square when I render.
I try a lot of different parameters for the fog but nothing change. I also change the min AA and nothing..
Thanks for your help !
Hi, thanks for posting. Have you tried resetting your render settings? This is done by switching to a different render engine and then going back to V-Ray.
You can also send us your scene so we can review it. Please do that here or though our support contact form.
Ok thank you, I try to reset but nothing change, so I send the file.
Hi this is a bug that is already reported in our system under VMAX-12442.
I will add your thread to it and bump the priority.
Any info on what triggers this bug, and if there is a workaround?

If we have more than four VRayEnvironmentFog gizmos, buckets starts to appear. A workaround is to use more than one VRayEnvironmentFog instances with the same settings and attach a maximum of four gizmos to each one.
Your bug/issue list is not public, is it? Not sure I ever saw a link to that.
I’m curious what exactly would trigger that bug. I’m rendering a huge forest right now with 5 gizmos inside one EnvironmentFog, some overlapping. No artifacts so far, not after 3hrs of procedural, not after 10 hours of bucket. But I’m extremely far away with my camera, maybe the camera being inside the gizmo is a problem.

What version of V-Ray are you using? It might turn out this is a regression in the V-Ray 6 since I just tested it with V-Ray 5.20.23 and no artefacts.
Sorry, still on 5.23, you’re right.
