Weired Scanlines everytime the render is Finished

HI all.

I am facing this weired Problem ever since I have Updated to Vray 7 I think.
After Rendering is finished, It shows this weired scanlines, When it should automatically Denoise and clean the render (I have denoiser Pass added).
somethimes it does that alright, But most often it doesn’t. I have to manually Select a Small Region, re render and Then these line would go away, And than I have to manully press denoise.

At this Point I am sick and tired of this Thing and Want a permanent Solution to this.
Please Help me out with this if someone also has faced this challenge and knows How to fix this. I would be much Oblidged.

Thanks in Advance.
Best Regards

Which host app are you using?

Thank You for your response.
I am using 3ds max 2027 and Vray 7 Update 3 DR2.
In continuation with the above, This is the 2nd Problem I face, Mostly when the Rendering is happening in the Background.
I have to render a reigion to remove this Over bright part and Manually denoise it…

Best you send us the scene so we can troubleshoot. Use this link.

I am extremely sorry.. I am not able to send the scene as its a commercial Project I am working on. Data Protection Laws and stuff…

But this is not related to this scene..
I have created Multiple New scenes from scratch, and this happens 90% Of the times..

Bummer.

Well, I’ll only be guessing:

  1. Regarding the scanlines: check if the “Previous Render” option (Render Setup > Settings > System > Previous render) is set to “Fields” or anything other than “Unchanged”. If so, revert to “unchanged”.
  2. Regarding the Denoiser not applying automatically: Check if the Denoiser layer slider in the VFB is set to a value other than 1. This is a known issue.
  3. Hard to tell what the exposure difference is about without the scene. If you can reproduce either of those on a simple scene and send it instead, it will be great.

Thank you for all these helpful Ideas..
I will definately Try each one of them and will Update here..
Also I will Try to Reproduce this phenonan in a Simple scene.
Hope to catch the culprit in that.

Thanks and Best regards.

if it happens on new scenes from scratch, could you make a simple test scene with nothing confidential in it to send?

Thank you for responding.

I will Surely Create a new scene and try to simulate it. if the same thing happenes, I will Upload the scene here.

Could you not simply use the scene you’ve already shared publically?

You aren’t breaching any data protection laws by sharing with a 3rd non-personal data for the purposes of running your own business.

Maybe consult your legal team if you are unsure, I’m sure they have confirm.

That sounds frustrating, especially when the render finishes successfully but the scanlines appear afterward. The fact that manually rendering a small region makes the lines disappear seems like a useful clue. Since the problem started after the V-Ray 7 update, checking whether the same scene behaves the same way with an older V-Ray version would also help narrow down whether the update introduced the issue.

Thank you for your response.

I am pretty sure I can’t share the 3d file anywhere on the internet as per the current Official data policy. I really wish I could. An Image would not do any severe damage.

That said, Once I am done with the current project delivery, I would definitly come back with a different Project file if The same problem occurs in that, And I would definately share the 3d file too.

Thanks and best regards.

Hi, Thank you for responding.

It sure is Very frustrating..
First I thought it was a Graphic Driver Issue or a Glitch, So I reset the drivers. Also Uninslatted and Reinstalled them, But in Vain..

As far as I remember, This issue has persisted in Multiple files.. So not an issue of this particular scene file..
The easiest fix I can think of is Uninstall and Reinstall Both 3ds max and Vray al together.
As Both of these softwares are licensed versions..
Hope to Get this fixed.

Thanks and best regards
