hi buddies
just doing a few interior test. having difficulty lighting an interior white wall. get great shadows and global light. but why are my white walls always grey. i have tried different colour light sources, still cant get it white. i think it might be my material set up. i know that this might be a generic max question, but does anyone have any ideas. its really bugging me

can you post an image and some settings??..your material??

it sounds like you arnt getting enough light into the space…
you could tell the walls to recieve more gi … in the vray system properties.

now you have embarrased me. i have not keep my tests. i shall have to do it again and post it in if i can figure out how to.

If you ask an object to recieve more GI, does that affect the rest of the scene? Or does it work like self illumination?
