Why when I cancel Vray while rendering, it never finish.. I have to kill max....

Hi there,

sometimes, when I render and stop the render, Vray continu to render.. like it cannot close the render window.. even if not calculating anymore.. I have to kill max.. reallly annoying thing… any idea why it’s doing that??

It use to happen to me, but it’s been awhile. Eventually, after 5-10 minutes, it would finally unfreeze.

it can happen if you have too much dynamic geometry, too high of the displacement or too many udim tiles or whatever.

Or some 3rd party plungin could do it to..

If you can get me a crash dump of the 3dsmax.exe process right at that moment when it’s stuck, I will be able to tell you what’s going on.

you can export crash dump using windows process explorer (its a free proggie) once you click on a process you can save mini dump and email that.
