Hi all
Just bought a new PC to replace my old one. How do I transfer the license from my old setup to the new one? The new one also has a different version of Max on it (version 6 as opposed to 4.x).

Will I need a new authorization code?

If you use the PLU utility to transfer a Max license, you don’t need a new code; in all other cases you will need to send us the new authorization info so that you can get a new code.

what’s the PLU utility (pardon my ignorance)?

Its the program that comes with max that lets you move your license from machine to machine. Look in your max area in the start menu, its called portable license utility.
