Will the 3ds Max build Get MBlur on Vray Proxies soon ??----Like Maya build seems to already have?? [I did a search in the Forums & found a few posts in the maya section with people saying they are using it already??]
Does it have Motion Blur Support for ANIMATED Vray proxys??? I tried a point cache & that works fine but the Vray animated Proxy won’t Mblur at all…did I set up something wrong on exporting the object?? [It is a GrowFX tree object]
I tried a point cache & that works fine but the Vray animated Proxy won’t Mblur at all…Works fine for me.
did I set up something wrong on exporting the object?? [It is a GrowFX tree object]I suppose the reason is more related to GrowFX than to the proxies… have you tried other deforming meshes?
Yes I think it is a GrowFX issue as the GrowFX object is not giving any Mblur even as a parametric object before I export the Proxy.
I have written a post on the GrowFX forum asking for more info about GrowFX & Motion Blur
What I find wierd is that it works fine if I record the animation as a Point Cache. Is it possible there is a difference in how Vray Proxy & Point Cache record the mesh???
Thanks again for the help Vlado.
I contacted Eduard from Exlevel & explained the problem with GrowFX not producing Mblur.
this was his reply--------- Regarding the VRay, I tested it with version 1.5 SP2, and it works fine. For the later versions, I asked the Chaosgroup to get NFR license, but now they are gone for the holidays until May 27. So I wait for a response from Chaosgroup…
I am sure it’s a minnor change/bug he can fix quite easily if it worked already in 1.5 SP2.
The best option for me is to keep the object parametric as I am forever changeing & tweaking the trees & would waste a lot of time producing a point Cache as well as a Vray proxy over & over again. Thanks for the idea though as it is a good work around for the moment. I am not in a rush with deadlines so I should have enough patience to wait for a proper fix for GrowFX
