Add the full VRay production with this card will be very very great.
I know some studios (which use VRay) keep an eyes on VRay with Xeon Phi…

I hope you will have a card to test soon and give us some news.

We are working on porting the V-Ray code base bit by bit so we are getting closer to having some results; I’ll post here as soon as we have something.

OMG…i totally missed a lot of cool stuff going on in this forum lately!!! Not only this topic…is it still Linux only? If yes I would be glad, cause atm we are missing all the cool embree stuff that is going on on windows since we are a linux based production…that would then finally be some good linux news :wink:

keep up the great work guys…we are also having an eye on arnold,but i still think chaos is absolutely able to keep up with SA in terms of cool features…supporting PHI would be an outstanding one for the moment!

I think that they have a Windows version now, or at least they are planning to. There’s still nothing that I can show yet, but I hope that we’ll get there soon.

Embree should be available for Linux soon, but only for Maya 2013 and up.

I went over reviews and it looks like 1 xeon PHI 5100 series is 2-3x faster than 2x8 core xeon E5-26xx
