    hi,
It is a scene to test lightcache in vray 1.46.13 and I have to say it is clean and fast.
Only a direct light, skylight and one photometric light. No vraylight on the windows. A little post process in photoshop.

Really nice work! There's just something about the sofa that doesn't look right - perhaps a bit more texture to it would help, and have the cushions a slightly different tone. The lighting is spot on.

      Nice rendering,

(nice flowers on the table too )

one thing is wrong: the plant on top sticks through the ceiling

since I am currently working on a scene with similar approach (only skylight and direct light) can you mention your color mapping settings and light colors / multipliers?

      Thanks

            thanx to everybody,

            - yes, the sofa would be better with a texture (the same for the carpet) but the designer loves everything with clearly colors.

            - yes there is an error with the plant near the celing

            - the vase and some other furniture come from evermotion, ultra3d and (maybe) e-interiors

            - the model is in mm (I tried in cm and the light result is a bit different...I don't know why)
            no glass on the windows
            direct light (RGB= 255,237,197) with multiplier=2
            sky (RGB= 236,240,255) with multiplier=1,6

            Primary bounce 1
            Secondary bounce 0,9

IR for primay bounce with preset High
            HSph 50
            Interpolation 20

            Light cache for secondary bounce
            Subdivision 1000
            Sample 0,01
            Scale screen
            Pre-filter 60
            Filter None
Glossy with light cache and number of passes 5

            Color mapping Exponential (dark=7, bright=7)

These values probably aren't the best to lighten the scene....so keep it like an example. If you have time, optimize the settings.

            bye

I was going to ask how you got such depth and contrast out of LC, but I see that you used IR+LC. Makes sense now.

I'd love the speed of LC with the look of IR. Is that too much to ask?

              What was render time?

I don't remember time but it is faster then 1.09 with IR+QMC

Why did you choose for such a high prefilter for lightcache?

It was my first try with lightcache. Probably there are settins that aren't right

                      Hi Fabrizio,

                      Very nice work!

Just 2 things i don't like too much. First one is the light in the corner, could be more smooth , second is that curtains are a little bit too much lighted .

It is my taste of course.

                      Cheers,
                      Marco

                        hi tutanmark
I agree with you; the curtain is very bright...but i had few time to optimize light settings and materials. For example in this scene the floor seems plastic and not wood .
Moreover to speed up settings I removed glass and curtain.
These images were for a little work with a very little payment....
