Hi, I would like to improve on this, so all C&C welcome.

The shadows, lighting and colors look good.

The walls could use some texture, and the camera aspect makes it hard for me to read those interesting angles on the building.

yeah you need to build up the textures abit more and have some stuff in the foreground.

Also looks a little flat, but that could be a result of the texturing. How was it rendered?

          Thanks for the feedback!!

beestee, which you do you think I should move the camera to improve the reading of the design?

DaForce, yeah I know the foreground sucks, the site is next to a busy highway and although I would love to place the building in its setting its going to be touch to get a photo, after all I am in Africa and the lions might chase me I will see what I can do.

Can you explain what you wanted to know with your question, how was it rendered?

All, Is it all my textures that need more work or just the flat looking plastered walls? What type of texturing would you use on smooth plastered and painted walls?

Maybe even just build up a simple kurb and some road. WIll help bring it to life.

The main problem with your textures is there isnt any (not that I can see) other than the obvious brick wall inbetween the green houses.
Heck even a bump or displacement map would help HEAPS.

You need to get plaster textures or brick textures .... something to put on that fence and on those light colored buildings.

You will also need a different background as the background shows the sun behind the buildings yet the sunlight is coming from the right.

              Sorry for the late reply

Here is kinda what I was thinking:

You might even try a fish-eye camera...but then your getting kinda crazy :P

To all those who replied, thank you.

I am still working on the image in the background and will update as soon as I finished.

beestee, the fish-eye sounds like a good option! do I use the camera settings on the VRay rendering dialog for this?

                  Cheers
