Comments and suggestions needed. I tried to cast shadows on the building using a projection map, but I couldn't get it to work. Ay suggestions?

    Hey GloryBound,

I would say it is a nice image but there are some points of mentioning....

    - seems like you used vray sun /sky and i can see the white reflection of the sun on the roof... its totally blocking out the roof itself wich is quite disturbing.
Disable the sun in the light parameter so you wont have the white sun reflected in your roof and if thats not enough lower the reflection or use another modus like reinhard etc.
    - everything seems very very sharp... i see anti-aliasing ridges on lots of places or hard lines like a photoshop sharpen filter gone bad.
    - you could use some small trees around the building and some higher polygon car models would be nice....
    - another point is the sky... wich is very very white and doesnt deliver enough colour to the whole image.

These are my points of critic...and i think it would improve on the image.

    Nice nonetheless.

    Greets,

    Niels

What do you mean by disabling the sun in the light parameters? I kinda liked the effect, but will wait for more feedback. I did use reinard .85. I tried high poly cars, but it wasn't going well so I swapped them out for RPC's. I'll try again with high poly's. I'll work on the sky. I had to complete this with 2 sick kids so I did rush it. I'll post an update.

I believe he meant about the Sun, to set it invisible.

Or you have to check on the sub-pixel mapping and the Clamp output.

          Very nice.

Yeah once the roof is fixed up your golden.

FOr the tree shadows, I would just use a direct light and map the shadow map to that.

              Bobby,
The building looks like it's in the middle of no-where. I say this because in your panorama the trees are so far away, I'd make it a bit more lively around this building. Just some food for thought.

I wouldn't shadow the whole building with the direct light shadow map tree map, maybe just like 1/2 of it or something.

Much much better. As i was scrolling down to the second image, i immidiatly went "WOW".

The cars look awful though, but there is a really nice atmoshpere going on.

                            cars

I am really haveing a hard time with cars. I tries some car paint, but they still are not looking the best. Any suggestions? I am thinking about buying theEvermotion cars that just came out, but they are pricey.

The car models themselves are fine...so just tweak the materials. Start by making the tires more black...but not solid black, and put a little glossy reflection on them (very little).
