nice work, maybe it me but the cars in the 2nd pic seem a bit small for the distance of them relative to the junction.

I think everything is way out of proportion. Take a look at the fence and the height of the grass, or the seize of the road sign in the second image compared to the size of the cars...
I think everything should be twice as big at least o_O

But that's the only critique I have. They look good aside from that

I think they're really good. I disagree there is a size issue although i can see what the others are saying. I dont think the grass or roadsign are very good indicators of scale as how do you know what size they are in the first place. The grass is clearly overgrown and the sign could just be massive. The perspective is deceptive.

hmmm... I used vray cam and took al the data from the real camera that the pictures were taken with. Anwayw I will tell you what I did so if I made mistake someone can tell me what I did wrong. Real images were taken with Canon EOS 400D. with 18 mm focal length so in vray cam I set same focal length and the film gate to match EOS 400D I set to 28.4 (it's sensor size is 1.8" so it's 28.400 diagonally so this is why I set it to 28.4) maybe here I made mistake? I don't knwo the architecture fit very nicelly. It's quite loooong project so meybe this is why it creates this illusion of wrong scale. But as I said I'm not 100% sure if I choose right film gate for vray cam to match Canon one.

Wish i knew the answer to that. The only input i have is that when ive done montages in the past ive sometimes had to multiply either the physcam film gate or focal length by something like 1.4 or 1.5 to get it to match the real camera, i dont know why, its second hand advice.

I believe you still need to apply the 1.6 focal length cropping factor for the smaller sensor on the 400d. So even though your using the 18mm lense I think its acting like a 28.8mm lens. I could be wrong though, just something to consider.

Maybe vlado could clear it up. It would be good to knwo how to set up correclty vray cam if you have photgraph taken with digital camera and want to photomatch correctly.

Why such a weird histogram? A lot of detail is lost in the midtones.

That is true, they are not very good indicators. But take a look at his reference pictures.
When I first looked at the renders, I felt like something was odd. In the first picture I found the gras rather high compared to the fences...
Then, when I saw the reference picture, I realized why that was. The grass has a "normal" height when you see it in the original picture, but looks the size of Bamboo in the render.
