Haha. My boss saw some of the early ones last week and started cracking out the serious technical comments, I dread starting the buildings.

Yeah - no work done this week. I've been in bed until today, not well at all. Still feel p. awful.

Still loads of temporary objects, and some stuff that needs re-working. The camera angle/lighting is pretty much going to stay now, so I can just focus on some modeling next week and stop arsing about.

                    hey

the advertisment thingy next to the stairs usually comes out more (not butt up to th stairs, your also taking away from the beautoful detail of the stairs) so that you can have traffic on both sides of it. (advertisement sense). Also it would rock if you could see the front of some high speed train deep in the tunnel..

I have one if youd like i could send it to you. =)

                      Nice work so far !

Your gravel texture & displacement is impressive, no sign of repetition at all, perfectly seamless. Is it hand made or does it come from a special collection ?

The diffuse is from cgtextures, tiling/displacement/specular had a fair amount of photoshop drawing involved to get rid of tiling and smooth it out.

I'm getting a suprising amount of use out of my tablet with this, it's given me so much room to experiment and try new things with no deadline.
Although it is a bit grim to spend a few hours unpaid on something new only to realise it didnt work too well and you want to scrap it...

Don't you get bored of working on something like this for so long? I'd have lost interest after the first couple of days. For what it is, its looking nice though. You'll have some nice textures for using in othe projects I guess.
                            Kind Regards,

I usually do, this is the furthest i've ever taken a personal work (by a good distance, too)
I think the trick lies in breaking it up into smaller jobs and trying to keep your mind on the details.

If marek denko/all the other nutters can do it, I want to see if I can too. It might take me a while, but it will get finished...

Definately breaking into smaller jobs helps to keep the interest going and not seem so daunting, but also feedback for me makes a difference...just the encouragement to keep going. So with that in mind....keep up the good work mate...we all want to see the final image !!!!!!
