if your using 1.08 you either need to go on the download page and get a more recent version

Yes, 1.08 does not have interpolated glossy.

B-Jeezuz !! a small test scene that took 18sek with glossy reflections, took only 2sek with GI and glossy using interpolation with 1.09.02u

But.. must I use the VRayMtl to get reflection interpolation

yes, and you are also not getting the full power of interpolation until you move up to the .03d build
