Woah! Both are amazing, the fluid effect and teh material. 3s on water! How long did it take to render?

May we have the mat settings please?

Again, it really looks great, very realistic.

        Regards,

        Nenad

Here is one more; there's some flickering one the text object because of low imap settings. Render time was about a minute per frame at 400 x 300

really nice Vlado! Vray is the most compatible GI renderer with Dreamscape right now and for some time to come me think. thanks for doing this work Vlado!

                  cheers,
                  Rom

                    Vlado,

This is really something. I am facing exactly the same probs
with Dreamscape not reflecting/refracting opacity mapped objects.
I've been banging my head since yesterday trying to find a
good compromise. Now that you've nailed it - I guess I'd take
the same approach until Kresimir finally send us a fix.

Would it be possible to take a look at the maxfile?

One more thing in the GI'd movie sample, do you have a sky/clouds
in there? I've been avoiding mixing VRAY GI and DS Sky/Clouds
because of the tremendous imap calc times.... Any comments?

I can send you the .max file if you wish...

That animation in particular doesn't have a DreamScape sky, but what you can do is render a panoramic image of the sky (I think DreamScape could do this, if not you can use VRay's spherical camera), save that as a bitmap and put in the VRay's GI Environment slot. You can then render with the DreamScape sky off and composite it for the final.

                      Best regards,
                      Vlado

                        Bingo!
Thanks a lot, Vlado. I look forward to that max file

                          little question

                          only two little questions:
The light came from dreamscape sun?
and, are using dreamscape render daylight or gi from vray?

                          thanks in advance, great examples!

The water geometry is the only thing that comes from DreamScape; the sunlight is just a direct light with VRay shadows, the GI is normal VRay GI with a solid environment color.

                              Best regards,
