Could we get a set of tests with 1 or 2 680s to see how those scale in comparison with the GTX 580? Any GTX 670 user would me more than welcome to contribute.

I am really split between getting a refurbished GTX 580 3GB or a 670 4GB atm. The 580 will surely be faster, but the 670 is much cooler to run, has that extra GB or space and will stress my PSU much less if I decide to add another one (or 2) in the future.

With two 580s I did the benchmark in 1:29. Eric did it with two 680s in 1:34. A little over 4% difference.

I just made somes tests with 3 GTX :
        1 GTX 570 (1280Mo) / 1 GTX 670 (2048Mo) / 1 GTX 680 (4096 Mo)

Results are similar (5%-7% differences between each cards)

this is an interesting test. This is a build from last night, and it appears a lot more shaders are supported, note the lamp sss now is working. With that said, the render time on my GTX 480 and driver 306.25 is 5 min 54 sec

So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Has the GPU code been optimized for Kepler GPUS yet by any chance?

As you can see from the benchmarks, V-Ray RT GPU runs at nearly the same speeds on Kepler and Fermi architectures, while many other renderers work quite a bit slower on Kepler. We still have room for improvement though.

Cool!... Vray double sided materials, gradient shaders and falloffs supported yet in the nightly builds?

Gradients and falloffs have been supported since a long time, even in the official builds. Now we have also added support for Color Correction and Mix maps.

Vlado did you notice that the glass renders much darker with RT gpu then regular vray, is there a reason for that?

Have you tried to increase depth to something above 5 ? I remember set that to 6 - and i was equal.

Regular vray render, see the table glass how light it is.

Get the today's nightly build; I introduced some bugs last week which are fixed now (and it's also a lot faster).

yeah thats much better. The lamp though I think is a problem and I don't really understand what's happening...it has a glossy refraction which obviously is not yet supported by gpu, but besides that there is a light inside so shouldn't the lamp be illuminated like the the example I posted yesterday? it seems that even in regular vray, the way the lamp renders is weird, or em I wrong?

Yes, it has some weird material setup...
