    Michas Gallery (update 12.12.2006)

Thank you. I have the feeling, each project is an exercise more to be better. I start to do architecture renderings a half year befor, so I learn allways now. It makes fun.

Really nice Micha - any chance you could share your settings??
(also really nice DOF - I'm still confused over how to use it?? I just keep doing trial and error - mostly error so I waist so much time)

You will get a full tutorial in the next days. I'm working on it.

DOF? Set the Rhino camera target to focused point and enable DOF. I have used an aperture 0.5 here.

For quick GI use LC (sec) and IM (prim). Both with default settings. Also use the image sampler QMC 0...50 and set QMC sampler at amount 1 and noise 0.01 (fast preview 0.05).

Color mapping: Reinhard + burn 0.8 (in the old release the bright multiplier)

wow, those are terrific images Micha. I love the wellness room. Your plants look like 3D models -- are they? were these purchased online somewhere or did you model them yourself?

Update: Is it possible to use the env mapping type for ground planes and to use the same HDRI for GI Env and ground? YES. ;D

                              Re: Michas Gallery (update 27.02.2007)

                              http://www.simulacrum.de/download/En...ppingBlock.3dm (without car)

                              and HDRI from here:

                              http://www.spectralogue.com/textures/index.php?path=50

But, this method is high dependent from the resolution of the HDRI. You can use LDRI images also. You can find free high res panoramas here:

                              http://www.asgvis.com/index.php?opti...sg8785#msg8785

                              and here an example:

                              http://www.asgvis.com/index.php?opti...0&topic=2022.0

Also interesting and more flexible is to a frontal mapped background photo. So you can place your design object everywhere you want, you only need a photo. The frontal mapping tool can be found here:

                              http://www.asgvis.com/index.php?opti...0&topic=2013.0

At my gallery are some examples of this method.
