Great rendering atanguay... what kind of settings did you use for the car paint?... Is it with the fresnel effect checked or did you use a ramp or something?

I can't seem to get a good car paint material with Vray any tips would be much appreciated!

    Thanks.

    Matt.

try to use iges 144, or 143, these are the formats mostly all application properly accept. With this there is no problem with cups and so on.

        Setup?

This is some of the most beautiful lighting of vehicles I have seen. Matches traditional studio setups very well. Do you have studio lighting photography in your background?

I am wondering if you could maybe post an example of your set up to light a vehicle like this. I have been trying forever to get my vehicles to look like this.

I would appreciate any advice you could give.

        Thank you.

power translator is great, for the mesh you can set something like a quality-parameter. for examle you can define that the smallest polygon should always be half/pixel in size. so you always get perfect meshing, regardless of the camera position and size of your object. the newest version is also quite stable.
