    Re: AUDI TT-update-NEW

Chillin, I got your file from Rada, but I can't do nothing...the image it's burned, I try everything....I try to remove all the lights...really don't know..
Anyway, remove that plan in front of window, because it's blocking the sun and the shadows. Also, try to remove your lights(maybe you have hidden ones), and render just with GI and sketchup sun.
    I'll wait for your result.
    CHEERS!

Chillin, that effect it's the way your bump react to the light. If you lower the multiplier of the bump, I think that detail won't be so visible.Still, the rendering time it's big...try to use some visopt. from the download section, not so expensive( in rendering time), MADO visopt. it's really good.
I'm sorry because I didn't help you more...

                Re: AUDI TT-update-NEW

thank you so much links are really good remind to shake your hand when i see you, i have been following this thread very carefully, it is said that to get shadows in the render using the hdri all u need to do is turn on shadows in sketchup but i find that it doesnt really work or if it does work i can barely see the change how do i address this?

                    Re: AUDI TT-update-NEW

I can't seem to get HDRI lighting with V-Ray Sky/Sun for shadows. The Default Light checkbox is ticked, but it seems to make no effect.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

I always use the sketchup shadows, when I use HDRI. I'm not happy with that since I loose the ability to make the shadows softer ( can't access the sun size).Maybe you have a interior scene, and the sun can't past the glass for example. Hard to say....still , try to get the sketchup shadows as you please, and also tick the Default Light. It should work. If it's not, check the glass material (if you have windows in your scene). The HDRI will give you very very soft shadows, but not the sharp shadows from the sun. And don't use other lights to simulate the sun! I did it, and I failed! Good luck!
