Re: Post your Simple Render here.

He is my attempt at a simple rendering. It was a nice change to do work with just a single object for once instead of having to have to deal with a whole building or interior. I hope you like them. Also there was no post processing involved.

Re: Post your Simple Render here.

Thanks nomer. I always see your renderings of just a few objects or a minimal scene and they inspired me to try one for myself. The model actually was a download from i believe archive3d. I was more concerned with working with materials and HDR. I hope that doesnt ruin it for you though.

DW: I like the feel too. Great stuff. What HDR did you use for the image? And did you make those cups?

Andec: I cant see your image

Ok sorry for this dumb question, but FFD? I dont think i know what that means. And if you have time, let me know as much as you can about the settings. Anything out of the ordinary that you did?

@Dirk, i like the way you add FFD with them, nice effect. but still i cant see the effect of the caustic. me myself still having difficulty in attaining the effect. if you go to tips and trick section, Damien has given us a linke wiht caustic there, i know its in Vray rhino, but the info are equally the same. Love that render BTW.

@ande, i cant see your image. i went to the link, still cant open it. dont know why.

@steeler, those last images are just simply amazing, i love the way you tame that black background. are you using QMC as main engine? your last image.. did you use translucent material? nice caustic effect again from you there.
