another simple render i did.. my friend requested me to design a entrance porch for their house... so basically i leave their house as what it looks like from pictures that they gave me... so here it is.. it's my first time to try a night scene.. so C&C's are very much welcome... on the night scene, is there anyway i can get rid of blotchiness on the ceiling? thanks in advance... ;D

nice job with the specular map practice... where did you place the specular map? in the highlight glossiness? ??? most arroway textures have specular maps also... thanks in advance...

i follow exactly in one of the thread here...but i cant find it now...
i think in the rhino's thread forgot it already...

i put it in the reflection map>fresnel> and then map it at fresnel colour and fresnel ior

the texture i get it from cgtextures.com

and for the specular map i edit it with PS saturate it

Hi and thanks for comment! Yes, the background it's obvious overexposed, and the sink that always give me hard time, has now "chrome blurry", so I didn't expect to that look....well, I will try next time to increase the subdvs. more.I already made it 32. I will push them to 64. The rendering time will kill me. But I want to know what's wrong.
About the kitchens, yes it is my specialty( furniture in general), of at least I hope so.. ;D
I do furniture in a small "factory", and kitchens seams to be most challenging to design, because of the space witch most of the time it's not really appropriate for that(at least in my country, where architects didn't loose the old habits from the communist time, with small spaces to live in), so I need to represent the furniture in place, and if it's possible, with the real materials, witch I don't choose most of the time( again, in my country everybody is a small designer). Kitchens are like...very important, where people spend allot of time and " everything must fit!!!". Even the washing machine. Not the dishwasher.
Well, I had something on my chest, didn't I? Anyway, did you noticed, that vray for rhino renders looks much better then ours? It's just me, or what. I saw some comments of your there, so that's why I'm asking you that..
                        Regards,
                        Stefan

Its 32 subdivs already? ??? So maybe you have your max Subdivs at the Image Sampler to a low figure.

Yeah i totally agree with you on the importance of kitchen space. Now days the kitchen is more open to other spaces (not so closed with walls), and the diner (morning bars) facing are enabling for people to communicate with people on both sides of the bar/island.

I don't think so, I've seen many VfSU users here with outstanding renders. It makes scenes since it's the render engine that makes the difference in rendering, so if both softwares have the same v-ray core than so is the render output.

Here a kitchen that i did not long time ago Architectural project (mainly exterior focus). It's design were just to visualize kitchen space, i.e it won't be necessarily build like this.
Btw the brushed material is from your explanation on it from some time ago (i think it was even in this thread)

alfi alwi.. that specular test rocks man. love it.
@40th stefan.. love your kitchen guyz... as for the subdivision of 32 of the material, i think stick with that stefan, and tweak some other things like lookin on the scale, tweaking the dmc sampler parameters.

Hi Aufi! Here you have a link for some of my visopt's :http://rapidshare.com/files/26830754...tings.rar.html
For this scene and almost all my interiors, I use the one called "Teofas visopt". I believe you want the vismat (the material) as well. Here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/26844576...beige.rar.html
I used the bump map as specular map as well, so be sure to make the same thing, I see you know how to manage this kind of effect( "M"/ first Fresnel, the upper one, push "m" and put the bump map there)
