  • my glasenvironment!!!

    hi folks
nice that u like my glass, and the answer is quite simpel!
my glasmat is by "egz"(many thanks).and wineberg is right, because the most important thing is the environment.
and the best way(for nice bright reflections)is using a hdri.
some month ago i made my first hdr studiomap.it's not perfect and not really correct, but my first try
i rendered all my glasscenes with this map and the following

the hdr map u can download here(copy an d paste the link in ur downloadmanager)
    http://mitglied.lycos.de/watchkeeper...r/archihdr.hdr
i hope it works and u like it
btw:i used the splutterfish hdr loader, because you can play more with the settings.

    Wow!!!

    Thanks a lot, Maxer!
This is great, will help many of us to understand better how to deal with the material and its environment.

Hi maxer, thanks for your hdri!

This raises another question... I also tried to render my own hdri, but without succes. When I save to the hdr format, my colors are always clamped into the normal range, no matter what option I select (realpixel data or normal pixel data). It says something about a G buffer must be present. So I selected all the options under the vray g buffer output channels. This didn't help either.

What should I do to be able to save an image as a HDRI?

                Thanks for your time,

                flipside

                edit:
If I choose to save the render automatically it works (even If I turn it back off and save the render out of the vfb.
