Re: Modern Interiors <-- Check them out!

Okay here i am again! A question about applying the materials to all objects. I suppose you get all your objects from form fonts? are these allready applied with materials and you can start rendering immediately or are there other things to do before you start rendering?

Thanks for the info i am right now still a student, but i am learning the V-ray stuff by myself so all the help is welcome! Thank you!

Hey Nektares,

How did you textures the hanging cloth and the jacket/vest in the bathroom? They look very realistic and convincing. I don't think it's possible to map something like this directly in Sketchup as the program does not have a really good UV map option.

Thanks,

Maarten:

Hey thanks for the comment!
yes! impressive observation, i have clear glass (no refaction) on the front and back faces and clear glass (with refraction) on the sides.
For the light i used VraySun but a very sensitive lens on the physical camera, so light fills the room cheers!

hey there again! n_n FormFonts models are ready2render and no, i don´t get them all from formfonts, i also download them from the google warehouse, or model them myself, or use evermotion models too, they are very high poly by the way, sometimes there are other things you have todo like cleaning up geometry or simplifying or erasing stuff on the models so your SketchUp does not start crashing, or get slow, im also a student! im 24 years old! but im still a student :P I think we all started leaning by ourselves, please practice and post, that way you don´t learn by yourself, we all learn together!

Steelers05:

Thanks man! i appreciate your opinion!

Ken28875:

In fact, its not impossible but its much more complicated to texture those shapes in SketchUp.
I use a software called Deep Exploration CAD edition, you can open max models
map their textures and export them directly to SketchUp format, its a very useful tool.
it doesn't create as much useless geometry like when you import 3DS files,
and it doesn't make a mess with the groups like sometimes SketchUp does with imported files.
Definitely a must have.

Re: Modern Interiors <-- Check them out!

hi

I like your work, I'm an architecture student and I'm from Monterrey, Mexico.

I like the lighting you print in your renders, now I work to make renders and I only have a couple of questions:
1 .- what type of PC you're using and how long it takes to do any of your renders.
2 .- what type of illumination used, currently used rectangular Ligths, but do not get the same result as in your renders.
