They are off in scale and color...too much green tint on them....to get them right, you need to render a previous with some dummies to have a sense of scale then in PS match the dummies to get them in scale.

You don't even need to render out an entire image, you can just place some dummies, make a screenshot and scale that over your image. Saves you some time.
A full render queu is a thing of beauty !

And I think you need to darken them a little. They are a bit self-illuminating now.

              Glorybound,
There's nothing wrong with the people you used that some artistry couldn't overcome. Just channel Rembrant or Maxfield Parrish or some other painter and add the shadows where you would expect them to fall. Burn, dodge and sponge where they would. The people are just a starting point to exercise your photorealistic/impressionistic skills on. Ground them with shadows on the ground (a trick to this is to make a copy of the person, desaturate it, bring the contrast down to black and then distort it into a shadow on the ground. Give it "multiply" property and then make it the appropriate transparency) A big part of any touchup is to know where the light source is and then shadow the people based on where you would expect the shadows to fall. If you need sources of inspiration or reference, Getty images is packed (but expensive to actually use ) Bigstock photo is a lot cheaper and has a lot to look at. But both are free to just browse.
Really, if you want to know how the master painters handled things, google them and check out their use of light and dark.

Here is an update. The client wanted the sun behind the camera (go figure), and I had a hard time balancing things. I did a lot of work in PhotoShop.

Thank you! I haven't gotten any feedback from the architect, and the deadline is looming! I still have to add my kids.... I am dragging my feet on that, because I am afraid it'll take me hours, and hours, so I want to do it once. I do wish there was some nice 3d models of children, but I can't find anything, but low-resolution ones.

The only problem I have is, even the best ones I have seen, still look like they were cut/pasted. I'll do my best, and can only get better

                          Whoot! I got some feedback.

The rendering looks fantastic. We are super happy. I assume kids etc. are placed later. I made a few comments above, but overall it is awesome.

its true, unless you get the people shot with the correct lighting, from the correct camrea angle, and have them beautifully masked, its always possible for a trained eye to spot the difference, however good you are. but clients usually dont have that trained eye.. and its possible to get a pretty good result with a bit of care.

                            good feedback btw
