Brick and glass looks fantastic, driveway needs work and obviously grass edges. Where do the reflections in the glass come from?

I recently advised a friend of mine to fill edges of proxy grass with vray fur - it works quite well he told me.

I always find your roofs a tiny bit flat or dead bobby - would like some soft spec / reflection in there by default.

The reflections are from the HDRI, which I am using to illuminate the scene. Usually, I start my materials with diffuses maps and maybe a bump, and I go from there. I found, very early on, that drag and drop things like materials are a project killer. Having said that, I usually forget the roof because it looks pretty good with just a diffused and bump. However, I do agree and will add a falloff. I'll post an update shortly.

sure, practically it's fine, architecturally it's bad. Totally ruins the traditional look of the design. Would rather have a carriage house even if with an enclosed connector.

I guess we struggle with these kind of things all the time. Aesthetically, it's pleasing without the garage, but people don't buy houses without attached garages. At least the garage isn't as big, or bigger than the house, like I sometimes see.

well, builders are building on smaller and smaller lots, yet the houses only get bigger. Thus garages smushed against or stuck in front of houses all the time.

Here is some progress. I am awaiting feedback from the client; I have some questions about a gate which goes around the property. I miss my one-click autograss, so I have to work out the Forest Pro edge thing that's happening. Also, I am seeing tiling in my pavers.

what is the solution for those edges in forest pro? I had some experience with autograss and loved the super low memory footprint. but always seemed too uniform. right now I'm working on vray fur grass and results are a lot better in my opinion. and as simple to use as autograss.

The solution seems to be smaller chunks, and a spline, but I have not tried it yet. Can you post a sample of your vrayfur/grass? I have never used VRay Fur, so anything would be a first.
