How would you like that last name?

Here is a kitchen that I am working on. He is about to lose the contract because the client can't understand his 2d drawings. Wish me luck! These interiors are always a bear for me. Exteriors seem to be a breeze, but not these interiors.

Looks to be coming along nicely. Do you model of this stuff, or import it from the architects?

I get drawing files. It's not to often I get a model and when I do, it's usually really rough.

Here is the first iteration. The render times are long (2:45 min) for such a low resolution, so I'll have to dig into the settings. I have already tweaked the ceiling, which I didn't notice until post.

Looks nice Bobby. Are you using Vray Bloom/Glare on that?

thanks! The lights are touched up in PS. I haven't really played with V-Rays Bloom/Glare.

This looks really nice, Bobby. I too like your glare. Might be a little heavy for architectural rendering, but it has a real nice feel.

              Are those IES lights?

I do wonder if the interior lights should go a hint warmer? Are the LED or what?

Possibly some vertical shift downwards to see more floor, less ceiling?

Yes, they are IES. They might be slowing things down, so I might swap them out.

Thanks! What kind of render times would you expect for this scene? Intel Xeon X5650 @2.67GHz, 36.0GB RAM

To be honest Im not sure, its been a while since Ive played with an arch interior. Ive been doing heavy machinery for oil and gas for a few years.

My workflow is like this: model 1 day, texture and lights 1 day, and try to render a clean scene 2 days!

I have tried Universal, the whole sample rate game, Solid Rocks, and my render times are outrageous. If anybody wants to look, here is the scene.
