I never pick subpixel mapping and I am using BF. I tried with IRR, however, it took just as long. I used the new defaults (BF+LC)

I mean, I tried almost every combination and landed on the defaults, because nothing else was any faster. Everything, except subpixel mapping enabled.

I have to confess that I'm using 5x GTX Titan X who are overclocked so it's about the same power as 7 cards. It's actually really fun to work with those
At least you never worry about settings anymore.

We actually bought 7 cards to get in the node but have only be able to get 5 ATM, we will give it a second go after New Years

Here are two more views. This is in the great room and I used Progressive, with basically the defaults. I let it run for three hours and saved from the VFB. The second run ran longer, however oddly enough, it's still noisy. I can deal with 4k in 3 hours.

looks good but I think the walls feel a bit dry as any painted interior wall should have some level of gloss. Also about your render times, I see in the second image you are using dof in render? This would surely raise the render time

Yes. the second one I did use DOF, which did add time, but not a whole lot.

                      • Looks nice, reminds me of old school watercolor renderings.
I guess it's the color palette

                          • Looking good Bobby. It might be that your max reflections are snubbing your rendertimes? I rarely go above 3 in any of my materials, unless it's a mirror or something. Also, where did you get the curtains? The models look nice.
