Thanks, but 9 hrs! And noise!!! I did a material override and added a Vray Sun/Sky, and it rendered in minutes, which implies it is something with my materials.

I'm already testing it with a stressing scene (many lights, reflections everywhere ...) but I'd like to test it with "simpler" scene as well, so ...
Thanks.Nicolas Caplat

I just send you a link. The only materials I use are the ones that come with models I purchase and the SigarShaders.Bobby Parker

For what it's worth... I'm running V-Ray 3.20.03
I opened your scene and clicked render (after I changed the resolution to 480x270). Also, note that I was also working in Revit at the time I rendered out both images.
With your settings, 23 minutes.
Using the 'reset V-Ray, max subdivs @ 100, color threshold @ .005' method, render time was 52 minutes. Your version looked much better and brighter. Now to save your settings as a preset and see how it looks on my generic teapot test scene...Work:

Bobby somewhere earlier you posted a material for paint or something with a glossy of 0.48
That seemed a bit low and those kinds of materials add to render times and noise. I hardly ever go below 0.6 for glossy. Could you PM me this scene please to take a look?Kind Regards,
Morne

Sure. Yes, the walls and ceiling were .48 and I have since changed it. Are you using MAX 2015 or lower?Originally posted by Morne View PostBobby somewhere earlier you posted a material for paint or something with a glossy of 0.48

Thanks, however, that's a really, really low resolution and even the 23 minutes is supper long.Originally posted by particlerealities View PostFor what it's worth... I'm running V-Ray 3.20.03

How would I find materials with glossy reflections less that .6?
