Thanks Zuliban ...
Here I am so far.... Any comments for now???
Fran: I tried making the dock
Zuliban: I did make the edges a notch more curved than it was before..
do you still think that they look sharp..
I also can go to a really round edge look...
Percy: I tried making the textures a bit more sharper..
but doesnt seem to be working in the way I wanted it to be ..
maybe I should take this shot in Black and White....
Im sure it would hide all the problems....

i like more the 2nd but.... the wire u have there need more dynamism it looks like a rendereable spline and the boat its sharp, the wood that is touching the water should be dirty from that part because the house it suppoused to be old so the wood have many years there it need to be more dark in the part where the water is touching and the enviroment seems like is clamped at a gray color...

Looking pretty cool. Add some greenish reflections to the water near the tree line. Could fake it in Photoshop if needs be...

I put some reflection... and messed around with some textures... this is what I came up with ....

Hi Leo !
I've send you several wood textures on your hotmail address.
About 600 ko
I think the wood should be more grey, not brown...a suggestion.
If you haven't received them, let me know and I will send them at another address.
It's free to be shared.
Bye !
Gael

Thanks Gael.. I sent you a personal message for the email address...
Guess what?? now that you mention the gray textures.. I tried some Photoshop filtering too..... just for kicks..
Im not sure if this should be done in an environment like this... but should there be some Fog here??
I know that the sun is out (looking at the background)...
C&C are welcome.. keep it coming....

Wow, just look at the difference between your first post and your last in just 2 days! The only things I see that bother me are the boats (maybe you can find a model of an old rowboat somewhere), the UV mapping on the edge of the dock decking, and the strange grayness in the background image.Surreal Structures

Hi !
I suppose you've received the textures.
I like your project. Very fresh in this hot season...
Black and White changes everything, but I prefer colored images...
About a little fog, yes give it a try (is that the good expression ?)
but a very little...
I agree with Frances about the boat, and I don't have one, sorry !
Well, I must go to work!
Bye

Agreed- its looking good. Think that there should be a gobo lighting effect on your scene (as in light passing through trees with some atmospherics and onto the building/dock.) Would make the scene pop out a little more.

Hi guys.. thank you for the nice comments
Zuliban, J_Bug:
Jujubee: I think the gobo light idea is perfect...
I will be trying it as soon as Im done with the boat....
Gael: Thank you so much for the textures...
I think that they are very nice..
I will be putting them in the scene ASAP...
Fran: I agree on the boat .. and am out shopping on the internet for the models...
if you come across dont hesitate to send any.. .. here are the
boats that I found so far... they are from
turbosquid, 3dtotal and 3dcafe... I actually am looking for a really recked boat... but dont know where it is.. I have an idea of making it look like it has sunk... a bit of water in it not too much...
