3 hrs is not bad, but I thin that can be improved further....
if you got enough ram (between 1.5 and 2 gb) try uping the "Max tree depth" in the ray cast parameters to 62 or 63....and lower the Face/level coef to 0.6 (lower then 0.6 it won't make a difference - or it might actually slow it down).....but these two setting should give you a bust in speed w/out sacrifice in quality.
you could also lower your HPsudiv for the Imap to 70 or 65....you should get away with that visually but cut down render time.
try making you buckets 128x128...I've read somewhere that that speeds things up a bit as well......can't really tell though myself...
in the future you might wanna use Photns or lightmap...DEFINATLY a lot faster...
