Vray Next update 2.0 animation test.

            https://vimeo.com/341181323

Quick ÙŽRnd render I did to test the new VRay light cache improvements with animations .. the default settings can give flicker free GI now thanks to the new hash map mode and it is fast!

            Technical Details
render engine : Vray Next GPU U2
render settings : Defaults ( Yes, I just hit render button! )
render time : from 3 to 4 min per frame in Full HD
specs: 1080 Ti with Dual xeon 2650 v3 (Hybrid mode)
            DOF is 3d rendered
Denoising is done using the standalone vray denoiser
scene model : Evermotion archinterior 43
            https://evermotion.org/…/s…/scene-4-ai43-archinteriors/12559
I've just adjusted the following :
1- deleted the portals ,moved the sky to Vray dome , enabled adaptive option and added Vray sun
2- fixed the albedo range for better light bounces (personal preferences )
3- added couple of extra softboxes and blockers on the sides
4- used LUT for preview in vfb (saved as linear from Max ) and did the actual post in AE .
the small flickers comes from the heavy denoising but for a test it is fine for me
there is also a bug -already reported to CG ) that cause vray to skip few frames when using specific combination of ies and sun ..hopefully the fix is coming soon

Kind of like 'intrudercam' with the heavy footsteps

Very nice care to explain the reason behind the rotation probability curve in forest pack for the carpet?

Thanks ! it is mainly to strict the rotation to 90 degrees multiples .I could have used Effects>stepped rotation but I wanted additional randomness .
As for why I did this, mainly because the used scattered object is kinda squarish and as per the reference image for the carpet there are very settle lines /gaps between these scattered objects and I tried to emulate that ..I took that from the rugs presets from forest pack library btw , so I can't take the full credit on this : ))

so I give it a try and it is possible to edit the effect script to add "range" parameter in 30 second : ))I should have tried before
just change this line as following :
                          real ZRotation = randomInt(0,stepsInRange)*Z_Rotate_Step+randomReal (-Range,Range) ;
where Range is a custom numeric parameter

                              Back to outdoors !
I exaggerate the DOF here, as I was aiming at these nice bokeh on the back and overdid it I guess

btw it seems that there is a new section in the forum called " Chaos Common :: Gallery "and all other programs galleries projects are moved to there except for Max ...mmm
