If I can render twice as fast, it is worth it. I can take on twice the work, or work half the hours. I'll have to wait for benchmarks... if it is a 30% increase over the Titian RTX, it probably isn't worth it. I wonder what kind of motherboard two of these would need. I can see easily spending $20,000 for the top of the line PC with the latest thread ripper (https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-Thr.../dp/B0815SBQ9W).

You're basing that calculation on the idea that you rendering 100% of the time you are working. For me, my render time accounts for only about 10% of my total work hours... I understand that it's different for everybody but I believe in working smarter, not harder.

As with most tech developments, you probably won't render faster because it will enable you to do more 3d stuff and make everything more complex
