          • What is the preferred ray bundle size and rays pr pixel. if you have a lot of GPU power.? is this 512 in bundle size and 32 in rays per pixel.?

256/16 seems to work pretty well in the majority of cases; 512/32 might be able to utilize the GPUs a bit better.

                • Command line args should be -sceneFile="/Path/To/Scene.vrscene" -rtEngine=5 -rtSampleLevel=512
                  V-Ray fan.

                    but just got

You need the latest beta of V-Ray 3.0 for 3ds Max for this to work, or V-Ray 2.x for Maya/V-Ray Standalone. Previous versions of V-Ray for 3ds Max do not include the full version of V-Ray Standalone.

                      Best regards,

                        • Procedural Noise in the bump slot still does not appear to work in 3.0 final, and now it's slower than the Beta.

                          What changed?

                          • The image from that particular beta appears quite a bit darker and probably didn't trace all rays as expected. The image from the final build seems to be correct and roughly the same speed as previous releases.

About the noise bump, we just recently found a good way to add more specific GPU code without slowing everything down; this opens a lot of doors and now we can enable the noise bump too, hopefully for a service pack.
