  • Very good, thanks for those tests. It is sad to see that the performance is still not there though.

    Best regards,

        • Very quick, wish I could afford just x1 titan! Would of thought x4 would of been a bit quicker than 3 seconds of the x3 titans?

          • Could be that the CPU can't feed 3-4 Titans fast enough to stretch their titanic legs?

              • Wow, V-Ray 3.0 shaved 33% off the time. That's definitely significant.

The first beta was bugged in that regard; 3.05.02 fixes it.

                        • Ahh, so you did. Sorry I didn't check back far enough. So on exactly the same rig V-Ray 3.0 beta knocks nearly 6 seconds off.

                          • it seems so, but it's still a gain of 21.5%.

I recon that if we had a longer rendertime scene, it might be more apparent, I don't know if the timer really starts when the image start to render, or if it's counting the time to transfer the file to the GPU and initialize the render etc.

I know for a fact that if you have a big big scene that take 2 minutes to start rendering, and I set 3 minutes in the max time used to render in RT production, your first image will only be calculated for 1 minutes and the next one will be for for 3 min...

                            • if you compare the two images side by side (2.4.04 and 3.05.02) there are some difference with the two images. I'm not exactly sure what.
