Slow and noisy - strange

Hi,

I just bought new GTX 1080 from Gigabyte and without any problem overclock it to 2GHz with still some gap. So I wanna test it in VRay RT. But this is what I get - its slow, noisy and slow. Like GTX 780 I had previously or maybe worse. Look at pictures - one from CPU (5960X @ 4.2GHz) and GPU (this GTX 1080), both after 3 minutes of rendering (both BF+LC). Why GPU looks so terrible?

And VRay said using all GPUs (I have only one with two monitors pluged in), but when I try to select OpenCL devices, it said this:



I look at sensors of GPU and it really run at 2GHz with 100% load. But I think its strange.

Are you running ActiveShade or using V-Ray RT as production renderer?

And one more big problem: I render using VRay RT and it works. After a minute I wanna render it again and it doesnt work, it doesnt make sense. This is what I get. But its absolutelly useless I cant work with this.



Where is a problem?

Are you using the same gi engines for both ? LC is enabled for RT as production only (since in active shade it doesn't make sense).
Also, if you have many gpus try increasing rays per pixel / Ray bundle size to something like 96/256.
It might be easier to just send the scene over so we could take a look.

Dont change anything, so its LC.

And I dont know why one time its ok and second time it said this error and I have to restart whole max to work again. Its really terrible.

As I said, LC is enabled for RT only if RT as set as production. If you use it in Active Shade it will be BF/BF.
If you send the scene over it would help a lot to find what the issue is.

About LC, I know about that, but problem is somewhere else. I can send you a scene. You will see if its slow and noisy or what. But the errors I got after few renderings I get with every scene, doesnt matter what I render.

Does it happen even with scene with a sphere and a light ?
If yes, then most likely it is something related with the setup. In that case You should either provide more details about V-Ray version, drivers version, hardware, etc or we can arrange an online session with our support team, so we can investigate.

I render the scene with RT GPU as production render and it looks ok. When it finish I hit render again and error show up. Cant render scene twice

Did you wrote about arranging online session as well ?

Just send a scene to both mails, your too.

Dont mention about online session, dont know which software you wanna use and I go on vacation tomorrow, so we can do this next week.
