I just added another x2 to my farm. A 3800 this time. I have it OC to run at 2.4 and the temp is still only 36 degrees idle 46 under full load. Thats with the stock fan and heatsink. What a great chip!
I would highly recommend getting the 3800 and OC it. It can go higher than what I have, I got it to 2.6 and stable but I want it to last a while so I backed it down to 2.4 and it's stable as a rock. I ran a render with 5 million polys, glossy reflections and displacement overnight with no problems at all.
It's hard to believe that we can get this kind of render power for $900.00 these days for a complete system with 2 gig of ram.

Yep, I already took pictures of it all in there, but have been to busy to upload them. I'll do that this evening. it all fits in there ok, but there are a lot of wires that aren't being used, I think I'll pull them back down to the lower part of the case to keep things neater.
On a side note, my Antec Powersupply (TruePower2.0 500 I believe) fans aren't spinning. Is that because it's "smart cooling" or whatever? or do I have defective power supply fans? The unit isn't getting hot (it's hardly warm at all), just wondering. I'm kinda new to the "smart fans".

nice work jow, would be interesting to see the comparison between the 4200 and the 4400 in the benchmark test

Thanks mate, when you get around to it
Yeah best to keep your case as tidy as possible to maintain the best airflow.
As for the fans not spinning i had that issue on my Antec as well...or they were spinning mega slow. I think you need to make sure you have the 3pin lead plugged into a fan header on the motherboard. If you have no free ones just try unplugging a case fan for the time being and see if it will start the fans spinning.

DaForce, sorry about the delay! a small crunch time at work.
There is good space for both the video and the sound card. Excuse the messy wires, I'm not finished in there and haven't tied down anything yet.

Not a problem
measuring just the green board (not the tab that gets screwed to the case) in inches, google tells me that 7.75 inches = 19.68500 centimeters
I haven't measured any other video cards, but this one doesn't seem to be much larger than my previous cards.

that depends on the layout of your motherboard more than the case (this case anyway), another 3/4 inch and I wouldn't be able to have my IDE cable plugged in for my CD drives.
