can someone make a sky for vray that looks like the maxwell one? Its kind of cool how the dirty part of the sky is nicely stretched over the horizon. Im not joking, the background (I mean a proper 3D background for use in animations) is one of the major things i'm personally still struggling with even though to many it is simple and obvious

The physical sky and sun was a Siggraph paper... soon, all the rendering engines will have it... and all the rendering engine will look the same... and there will be no orginality to lighting any more.

Remember not in the so distant future you will be able to choose from a 1000 skys or make your own .... adding realism like a physically accurate sky system can only add to your renders .. what we are all trying to achieve is Photoreal imagery, whether its with vray or maxwell or fR or Brazil .... they are all trying to achieve the same goal.

i hope we can tweek the sky since we dont have haze like that down here in barbados. looks more like the sky you would find in a large urban area with polution.

Of course... it is, was, and always will be up to the artist. It is the same with every tool, the moment a "new" tool comes out everyone uses it to death. Remember with GI Skylights first came out? Every rendering looked like it was taken on a cloudy day. The same will be true with the physical sky/sun.
